Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions
By purchasing a ticket for a trip with Student Adventure Scotland Tours, you agree to and accept the following terms and conditions. This agreement is between you, the tour participant (henceforth referred to as "you" or "your") and Student Adventure Scotland Tours (henceforth referred to as "SASTours"' "we" or "our").
Students (and/or non-students) are to be a minimum age of 18 at the time of travel. We accept minors on request, only if they are accompanied, however please contact us first.
Booking and Payment
To guarantee your participation on any SASTours trip, payment must be made in full and collected by SASTours. This is subject to availability and at the discretion of SASTours, which will reserve your seat on the trip.
Change of cost and itinerary
SASTours will make every effort to avoid changes to the itinerary and cost. All trips require a minimum number of participants to operate at the price projected and publicised. If the minimum number is not reached, this may result in a change in cost and/or itinerary. From time to time SASTours may be required to modify the itinerary and accommodation publicised due to circumstances outside our control up to the period of payment. If such modifications are required SASTours will provide notice as is reasonably possible.
During the trips, tour leaders usually take photographs for use in SASTours flyers, Facebook page and group, videos and other promotional materials. SASTours reserves the right to use these images and videos for promotional purposes, unless otherwise notified to us by you in writing.
Tickets are non-refundable if you purchase tikcet/s at the Ticket Sale. In the event that you are unable to attend the trip, tickets may be offered for resale to anyone you wish. You may contact and organise with SASTours to help with the resale of the ticket.
Tour participant responsibilities
It is your responsibility to ensure you are at the meeting point on time upon departure of the trip as a whole. No refunds will be issued if you do not turn up and miss the trip.
On each tour, meeting times are set by your tour leader. It is your responsibility to meet back at the coach at the correct time and location specified. Please be considerate of your fellow tour participants and do not be late for these meeting times. In the event that you miss a planned departure, any extra travel costs incurred are paid by you.
Health and fitness
Our tours may involve walking aspects, the degree dependent on the specific trip. As a tour participant, you should be in good health and have an appropriate level of fitness to walk on the tours. Please inform us of any medical condition, medical history or medications that you are on. This particularly affects asthma, diabetes, heart conditions and allergies (especially to wasp/bee stings and any food allergies). If you get travel sick, you also need to inform us in advance.
Leaving the tour
We reserve the right to cancel your participation in a tour at anytime if your tour leader believes your behaviour is an endangerment to the safety, enjoyment or welfare of other tour participants. You may also leave the tour at anytime by giving notice to your tour leader.
SASTours has the appropriate insurance to be in operation. Our provided coaches and coach partners also run with their own insurance, in affect on our trips. However, you are responsible to take care of yourself on the trips. Our tour leaders will always provide safety and precaution advice at every stage of the trip. Be aware that if you fail to obey the advice or information provided by our tour leaders or at the tour itinerary and as a result you are injured, SASTours cannot be held responsible. Our tour leaders are always mindful of each of our tour participants welfare, however they cannot ensure the personal safety of participants. Therefore, at all times you must exercise care for your own well being.
